Hard-Wired is an architectural model of a skyscraper based on a spinal column. Each floor is a concrete vertebra that creates a small room. Through this room is a view of the electrical conduit and lighting running the length of the piece, representing motor/sensory pathways. The dimmable LED lighting is controlled by structures on the roof of the building, representing the brain. Assembled with mechanical connections, the concrete and brass structures can be broken down and reassembled easily.
